New Section: Birkat Kohanim

In preparation for Shavuot, Chabad.org has launched a new comprehensive section on Birkas Kohanim. This section contains a detailed guide to Birkas Kohanim: when it’s done, both in Israel and the Diaspora; the kohanim’s preparations; the procedure of the brachah; and the congregation’s role. Also included is a deeper look at Birkas Kohanim through the lens of chassidic thought.

What if there is no Levi (or first-born) present - should one Cohen wash another's hands, or a Yisrael? If a Yisrael does it, should he wash his own hands first, as does the Levi?
